Kapenga M Trust operates an 890ha sheep, beef and deer farm right on the doorstep of Rotorua.


With a mixed stock policy in place, a focus on both quality breeding and finishing, this is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the running of a diverse farming operation.


You will be working alongside the Farm Manager and staff, with the role being based around 70 % stock work and 30 % general duties including farm maintenance, tractor driving and fencing. This is a great opportunity for those with 4-5 years’ experience and looking to take the next step in their career.


You will have:

  • The appropriate pasture and stock management skills,

  • Sound general skills for all the requirement of farm maintenance,

  • A strong work ethic to “get the job done”,

  • Excellent communication skills and an attention to detail,

  • A minimum of two dogs under good command,

  • New Zealand residency is a must,

  • Be able to show or pass a pre-employment drug test.

  • A proven record of honesty and reliability

  • The ability to work unsupervised from time to time
